Dutch artist Boxie arrived in Polopos in style with his old Mercedes which is constantly painted over.
We invited a class from the primary school at the bottom of the mountain to help Boxie make a mural in Polopos.
The kids loved it. The school instructed them not to write or draw anything divisive. Otherwise they were free to do what they wanted.
In the collegio, the school in La Mamola, Boxie invited all 160 pupils from 4 to 13 years old to help with a mural on the school playground.
After school the kids were invited to paint on Boxie's car. They liked this even better than helping with the mural!
Dutch actress Monic Hendrickx stayed with us in Casa 3 while filming a short Sci-Fi movie for which we scouted locations. We hosted the entire production team in Polopos.

The second children's book of Thysa is set around Polopos. The cover shows the view from Polopos towards the Mediterranean Sea.
We created our very first piece of art together in Polopos. We created this mural in 2019. By now, it could do with a new coat of paint...
Promoting Polopos and our art events is a very important part of our work. This was a live interview for Canal Sur Radio.
The first art event we organised was an art walk along 6 pop-up galleries in which 30 local artists participated.
We like to use spaces for exhibitions that normally have a different function than a gallery. This is our kitchen in Casa 3 with works by Norwegian artist Johanne Nordstrand.
Again, this space is not normally a gallery. It was an old bodega that had yet to be remodelled. Thysa helps Norwegian artist Johanne Nordstrand hang her work.
Nick Fudge is an artist who lived and worked in Polopos for a short time.
